A: Fully waterproof leather (AATCC 127) uses a continuous, non-porous polymer topcoat that blocks liquid water from passing through under pressure. However, in hot, humid environments, moisture vapor can still penetrate the material and cause internal hydrolysis of the polymer layer. Moisture resistance ensures that even when water vapor penetrates the material, the chemical bonds of the PU resin remain stable and do not hydrolyze or peel.
