A: Traditional PU leather relies heavily on Dimethylformamide (DMF) as a solvent during wet coagulation, leaving toxic chemical residues that evaporate inside retail packaging or vehicle cabins. WINIW Water-Borne PU (WBPU) completely replaces organic solvents with water (H2O) as the dispersion medium. This aqueous polymerization achieves a certified DMF residue of 0 ppm, ensuring the final material is REACH SVHC compliant, RoHS certified, and low-VOC outgassing for sensitive applications.

A: Peeling is caused by hydrolysis—the chemical breakdown of polyurethane polymers when exposed to humidity and ambient heat. WINIW avoids cheap, highly vulnerable polyester resins. Instead, we formulate our mid-to-high-end upholstery and safety footwear coatings using highly cross-linked polyether or polycarbonate-grade polyurethanes. These polyether chemical backbones are intrinsically stable and easily pass up to 5 weeks of SATRA TM344 tropical chamber testing without surface cracking.

A: Yes. Our R&D division uses automated gravimetric color dispensers and Datacolor spectrophotometers to achieve precise custom color replication against your reference swatches or Pantone codes. We maintain color delta (ΔE) variances strictly under ≤ 0.82 understandard illuminants. Additionally, we can laser-scan any natural hide texture to manufacture custom calendering rollers that replicate nappa, pebble, saffiano, or exotic reptile grains flawlessly.
