Material Overview
Garments exposed to sunlight fade. Standard dyed suede turns yellow or gray in a single season. It also requires expensive chemical dry cleaning. This causes massive consumer returns for apparel brands.
We fix this at the polymer level. Our Light-resistant Faux Sueded Microfiber Fabric for Garments uses a 3D sea-island microfiber base. We lock UV-stable dyes directly into the matrix during production. Test results show an ISO 105-B02 Grade 4-5 rating. It simply resists photo-degradation.
It is also fully hydrophobic. Consumers can machine-wash the garment. At 0.6mm gauge, it gives garment makers the exact drape and multidirectional stretch needed for high-end outerwear, skirts, and coats.

Let's look at factory yields and lifecycle costs.
- Vs. Genuine Suede: Genuine hide fades in the sun. It bleeds dye onto white shirts. Die-cutting irregular hides wastes 30-40% of the material. Our microfiber comes in 54-inch continuous rolls. You get a 100% cutting yield. It offers zero dye transfer and eliminates animal cruelty from your supply chain.
- Vs. Flocked Faux Suede (Woven): Cheap faux suede glues short flocking fibers to a woven backing. It feels stiff. When washed, the glue fails and the fabric goes bald. Our material is a non-woven 3D structure. We buff the nap directly from the fiber core. It sheds zero lint and survives 50+ machine washes without losing its texture.

Industry Applications

Garment factories use this substrate for its UV stability and soft drape:
- Outerwear & Jackets: Motorcycle jackets and trench coats (high tear strength, sun-fade resistant).
- Skirts & Trousers: 0.6mm gauge provides multidirectional stretch and a premium, soft flow.
- Garment Trims: Elbow patches, collar linings, and pocket details that must survive heavy machine washing.
Buyer FAQs
Q: What is the exact light fastness rating?
A: We test to the international ISO 105-B02 standard. The fabric scores Grade 4-5. It will not fade, yellow, or degrade under prolonged outdoor UV exposure.
Q: Will the dye bleed in the washing machine?
A: No. We use high-grade fixation processes. The fabric passes Grade 4 for both dry and wet rubbing. It will not stain lighter clothes, skin, or undergarments.
Q: Does it get stiff after washing?
A: No. Genuine suede cracks when wet. Our non-woven microfiber structure stays pliable. It keeps its soft nap even after 50+ AATCC standard machine washes.
Q: What is the MOQ and where is it made?
A: Our wholesale MOQ is 500 linear meters per specific pantone color and thickness. We manufacture it entirely in China.
