Balance Breathability, Grip and Dexterity in the Same Glove Construction
We supply breathable microfiber suede for sports glove palms, finger panels and reinforcement zones where buyers need a soft tactile surface, thin-profile construction and a material route that can be evaluated for moisture-vapor transfer.
Current listed thickness options for thin glove panels.
Current listed roll width for pattern cutting.
Developed for palm contact and tactile glove surfaces.

Evaluate the Suede Face Together with the Backing
A thin microfiber suede article can feel very different after a backing, foam or coating is added. For close-fitting gloves, the complete palm stack controls softness, bend resistance and local moisture movement.
- Confirm the exact microfiber substrate
- Approve nap height and surface direction
- Define backing or laminate structure
- Check stretch direction on narrow glove panels
- Repeat affected tests after coating or printing
Lock the Glove Material Construction Before Comparing Test Results
| Material Family | Microfiber faux suede for sports glove palm and reinforcement applications |
|---|---|
| Thickness | 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm and 0.7 mm are currently listed; confirm nominal thickness, tolerance and measuring method on the approved TDS |
| Usable Width | 137 cm / 54 inches is currently listed; confirm minimum usable width, edge allowance and roll presentation |
| Basis Weight | Confirm GSM for the selected thickness, backing, color and surface treatment |
| Color & Surface | Approve physical shade, nap direction, softness and tactile feel on the production reference sample |
| Backing / Lamination | Define textile backing, foam, adhesive or additional coating used in the finished palm construction |
| Breathability | Define water-vapor test method, specimen condition, temperature, humidity, direction, unit and required limit |
| Grip | Define counter-surface, dry or damp condition, load, direction, test method and acceptance requirement |
| MOQ & Lead Time | Confirm after thickness, color, backing, surface process, quantity and destination are fixed |
Water-Vapor Data Does Not Automatically Predict Finished-Glove Comfort
A material can transmit moisture vapor under laboratory conditions, but glove comfort also depends on coverage, lining, foam, perforation, fit, activity level and ambient conditions.
Test Method
Specify the water-vapor transmission method and standard edition required by the buyer.
Conditioning
Record temperature, relative humidity and specimen conditioning before testing.
Material Direction
Confirm which material face or direction is used when the method requires orientation.
Finished Construction
Repeat vapor checks if foam, backing, printing or coating changes the palm stack.
Match Grip and Wear Testing to the Real Contact Surface
Different sports create different palm contact, sweat, abrasion and flexing conditions. A generic "high grip" statement cannot replace testing against the real equipment surface.
- Golf: club grip, sweat and thin hand feel
- Cycling: handlebar contact and repeated palm wear
- Gym: bar friction, sweat and reinforced palm zones
- Batting: grip contact, seam placement and finger flex
- Outdoor gloves: local reinforcement and repeated bending

Define Each Performance Claim by Failure Mode
Grip / Friction
Specify counterface, moisture level, load, direction and evaluation method for the real glove use.
Abrasion
Define abradant, load, cycles and visible or physical failure endpoint for the suede face.
Tear
State specimen geometry, material direction, test speed, unit and minimum acceptance requirement.
Flexing
Use a method appropriate to repeated finger and palm movement and record the cracking or surface-change endpoint.
Perspiration Colorfastness
Define acid or alkaline perspiration route, adjacent fabric and required grade for the production color.
Hand Feel / Dexterity
Confirm tactile feel and movement on the finished glove prototype rather than treating softness as a laboratory number alone.
Validate Narrow Palm and Finger Panels on the Actual Glove Pattern
Gloves use small curved pieces with short seam allowances. Material behavior at the cut edge can therefore matter more than a broad sheet test.
Check edge condition, nap direction and pattern orientation.
Review needle, thread, stitch density and seam allowance.
Bend palm and finger sections through the intended movement.
Check seam tear, edge opening, polishing and surface change.
Re-Test the Material After Foam, Print or Grip Coating Is Added
Many performance gloves use foam, lining, silicone print or another palm treatment. These processes can change vapor transfer, stiffness, grip and flex behavior.
- Confirm adhesive and cure conditions
- Check bond strength after lamination
- Measure stiffness on the finished stack
- Repeat vapor testing where airflow is important
- Test grip treatment after repeated flexing and abrasion
Freeze the Glove Construction Before Bulk Release
Send glove type, component, contact surface and target feel.
Confirm thickness, backing, color, nap and surface treatment.
Cut and sew the intended palm, finger and reinforcement panels.
Run vapor, grip, wear and colorfastness tests as required.
Build the Purchase Specification Around the Finished Glove Requirement
We can review thickness, color, nap, backing and glove processing against the buyer's component design. Critical test requirements should be written into the approved specification before bulk production.
- Approved material and color reference
- Applicable TDS for the selected construction
- Thickness, width, GSM and backing requirements
- Vapor, grip, abrasion and tear test methods
- Perspiration colorfastness requirement
- Roll, packing and traceability requirements
Request a Sports Glove Material Sample
Send the glove type, palm or finger component, target thickness, usable width, backing, color, grip surface, vapor, abrasion, tear and perspiration requirements, trial quantity, annual volume, destination market and project schedule.

The current product listing shows 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm and 0.7 mm. Confirm nominal thickness, tolerance and measuring method for the selected color and backing on the current TDS.
No. Finished-glove comfort also depends on lining, foam, adhesive, perforation, coverage, fit, activity level and climate. Evaluate the complete glove through laboratory and wear trials.
Compare results only when the test method, temperature, humidity, conditioning, specimen construction, direction and unit are equivalent.
Define the real counter-surface, moisture condition, load, direction and evaluation method. Test the approved material and repeat the check on the completed palm construction.
A lamination route can be evaluated. Confirm adhesive, coat weight, cure process and backing, then re-check bond strength, stiffness, flexing and vapor transfer on the final laminate.
Send glove type, palm or finger component, target thickness and width, backing, color, grip surface, required vapor, abrasion, tear and perspiration methods, annual volume, destination market and schedule.
